Spire Yale Hospital sits on the outskirts of Wrexham and is one of the principal private healthcare facilities in North Wales. It is where Mr Jermin sees and treats his private patients, alongside his NHS practice at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry.
The hospital invested £9.5 million in Chesney Court, an imaging, orthopaedic and outpatient centre that opened in 2023 as part of a wider £11.5 million programme. It moved the hospital’s MRI scanner out of a mobile unit into a permanent, accessible facility, and added X-ray and ultrasound, nine consulting and treatment rooms, and dedicated orthopaedic and physiotherapy rooms. The investment allows the hospital to treat around 20 per cent more patients a year, and inpatient ward capacity increased from 18 beds to 24.
For a knee patient, the practical effect is that assessment, imaging and rehabilitation all sit on one site. Weight-bearing X-rays and MRI scans can be arranged without travelling elsewhere, and the physiotherapy team works alongside the surgical staff rather than separately from them.
Mr Jermin offers a consultant-led pathway at Spire Yale, from the first outpatient appointment through surgery to post-operative review.
